OUR HISTORY

Founded in 2019, Medlin Workforce & Reentry Solutions (MWRS), a California Certified Small Business, is headquartered in Orange County, California and provides services nationwide. Founded and led by Meghan Medlin, MWRS specializes in workforce development and reentry. We strive to be the firm of choice for entities nationwide and utilize evidence-based methods to provide distinctive, lasting and substantial assistance to entities, and create an environment that attracts, develops and retains exceptional and diverse talent.

CEO / Principal Consultant

Meghan Medlin is a community leader and advocate whose efforts to benefit justice-involved groups in Orange County have been recognized most recently by Senator Tom Umberg as a 34th District Woman of Distinction (2023) and as a LA Times as an Orange County Visionary (2022 & 2023). Medlin also has been recognized by US Congressman Lou Correa (2018 Women of Distinction, Civic Leader Award), the Orange County Business Journal (Women in Business of the Year Award Nominee 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023 and Finalist in 2020), NAWDP Workforce Hero (2021), Business Elite “40 Under 40” Nominee (2019), and Connected Women of Influence (2018 “Women to Watch” Nominee; 2020 “Game Changer” Nominee; 2021 “Emerging Woman Owned Business” Winner). She has been a leader in the workforce development and reentry community since 2006 which led to her branching out in 2019 and starting her own consulting firm Medlin Workforce & Reentry Solutions, which provides equitable solutions for nonprofit organizations, employers and government agencies. 

Ms. Medlin is known for her dedication to the Orange County community, specializing in workforce development, recidivism reduction, poverty alleviation and homelessness. She has been an integral part of various initiatives such as Proposition 47, AB109, Stepping Up, Ban the Box, and the Continuum of Care board.

In late 2020, Medlin founded the Hub for Integration, Reentry & Employment (H.I.R.E.), a nonprofit organization, in response to the need for service linkages and employment in Orange County for justice involved youth and adults. Medlin has extensive experience in workforce development and skills training programs in addition to running Orange County’s reentry partnership for 6 years where she put on numerous large-scale events and unified stakeholders within the reentry community.

She currently represents the community at large on the Orange County Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council, is the Community Based Organization Representative for the Orange County Community Corrections Partnership, a member of the Board of State and Community Correction (BSCC) Executive Steering Committee for the Youth Reinvestment Grant, and is a Peer Reviewer for the US Department of Justice, Office of Justice Program’s Bureau of Justice Assistance. Medlin is also an active member of the FBI Citizen’s Academy Alumni Association, and InfraGard Los Angeles. She has a BS in Chemistry from the University of Redlands, a certificate in Gang Prevention and Intervention from Coastline Community College and a Master of Advance Study in Criminology, Law & Society from UC Irvine.
